What is Forest Hills Stadium?

Forest Hills Stadium is a historic outdoor music venue that has welcomed fans to the picturesque New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, for nearly 100 years. Designed to optimize acoustics and with no obstructed views, the 13,000 seat capacity stadium is the only outdoor venue of its kind and size in the city. Originally designed in the 1920s as the home of the U.S. Open tennis tournament, Forest Hills Stadium began booking concerts in the 1960s, and went on to host some of the most culturally significant performances of the time, including Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, The Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan. The stadium was updated starting in 2013 with a number of state-of-the-art upgrades, and has since welcomed a new golden age of diverse superstars, including sell-out performances by Drake, Dolly Parton, Mumford & Sons, The Alabama Shakes, Ed Sheeran, and many more. This year, Autograph and Forest Hills Stadium have partnered to offer digital collectibles for all ticket holders to commemorate attendance at the Forest Hills Stadium 2022 season.

What is a Forest Hills Stadium Access Pass? An Access Pass is an NFT, a non-fungible token, which is a unique, non-interchangeable digital asset stored on a digital ledger, or “blockchain.” These tokens can be associated with different types of media (including images, videos, and audio clips). The proof of a token’s ownership is verified and authenticated by the hosting blockchain. Autograph NFTs are minted and sold on the Polygon network, which utilizes a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism. Polygon's PoS validators consume electricity that is orders of magnitude less than Proof-of-Work (PoW) blockchains employed by other platforms. For Autograph and Forest Hills Stadium, that ultimately translates to more eco-friendliness and considerably less carbon emissions. More information regarding Polygon’s positive environmental use-cases can be found here.
